Dakota County Law Blog

A family law blog with real world legal advice

I apologize ahead of time for a self-serving post, but I have been building a business website (on my own) and I am wondering what readers of this blog might think of it or be looking for in an family law, attorney website.

My basic questions relate to the kinds of things that you – the potential client – would be looking for if you come to a lawyer website and have questions that you might like answered.

For instance, are you looking for things like:

  • Layout?
  • Design?
  • Attorney fees and prices?
  • Experience?
  • Location?
  • Content of the website (e.g.:  it answer a question you have)?
  • Telephone and email?
  • A picture of the lawyer or lawyers?

As Apple Valley, MN child custody and support lawyer, I have had clients who have commented on my website.  However, they usually don’t say what they liked or disliked.  I suspect that they didn’t really care that much – they were just looking for a lawyer.

I apologize again for this self-serving post.  I try very hard to write good posts with solid legal advice on this blog.  I realize that my needs and that of my law firm are secondary.  I want to be helpful.  However, I would hope that people are happy with my content and websites.  Some feedback would be great!

For anybody out there who reads this family law blog and likes what you are reading, please feel free to visit my new website and tell me what you think.
